Hello! My name is Sheepa and I’m what they call a ‘Foodie’. Like most people, I love food – whether I’m eating food cooked by someone else or creating my own recipes. But what makes me different from the millions of other food bloggers out there? Well… that’s a very good question. My background is what makes me different from the rest. My parents are from Bangladesh, but I was born and brought up in the South of England, UK, eating traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, i.e. the infamous curries. So in our household, ‘Western’ dishes made infrequent appearances. In the summer of 2011, I moved to London. I love to cook and bake and this fascination started a long time ago. I have made some wonderful creations which not only look good, but taste good (so I’ve been told). Being a Muslim, I have always had restrictions and have had to be careful with the types of food I eat and what I drink, i.e. no pork or alcohol. But I turned this around to play to my strengths and decided to experiment when making certain dishes and finding alternative ingredients. I hope this will intrigue others to try my suggestions or maybe even help people in a similar situation as me. My strategy for this blog is to not only post photos, but also recipes and step-by-step cooking instructions. Living in London also gives me the great pleasure and opportunity to explore and eat out at wonderful places. So expect some reviews as well. I hope you like it, and if you have any comments, requests or suggestions – please do let me know! I’m always happy to give it a go and take things on board. And please share with your friends and family!
