Feast Happy Dinner Party

One thing I love about living in London is that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to looking for a place to eat. In fact, you could easily spend every single day over the next couple of years eating out at a different place and still not run out of places to go. As amazing as that sounds, the truth is that sometimes you just can’t be bothered. With busy work schedules and social lives, people rarely spend time eating at home these days. And with so much choice out there, I don’t blame them! There is also a tendency to grab something on the way home that’s easy to heat up/put together which, let’s be honest, isn’t always the most healthy or even tastiest option.

But what if I told you that you could eat restaurant quality food, prepared by talented local chefs and have it delivered to your home to eat whenever it suits you? Well then you’re in for a treat, because this concept exists and it’s called Feast Happy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom, one of the Co-Founders, a few months ago to discuss hosting an event, and we thought a dinner party would be a great way to tell people about this wonderful service. So that’s when we decided to collaborate and host a Zomato Meetup at Eric’s home, who is the other Co-Founder.

Feast Happy is a brilliant start up targeting professionals who want to eat good quality food in the comfort of their own home, without feeling like they’re missing out. So, along with a few of my favourite blogger friends, we were warmly welcomed into their home to experience a dinner party, the Feast Happy way.


Unlike other food delivery services where you essentially just order a take away which is moderately warm and sometimes soggy by the time you eat it, Feast Happy work closely with their restaurant/chef partners, who prepare, par cook and chill the meals at the optimum point. All it requires you to do is place it in the oven and it’s ready to eat within 20 minutes! The packaging is also oven safe and 100% recyclable.



We had the pleasure of trying food from their current partner Rochelle Canteen, and we were joined by their Sous Chef, Euan Farmer. I love talking about food as much as I like eating it. Especially when it’s with people who are so passionate about the industry, so it really was a lovely way to start the dinner party. thumb_IMG_5674_1024

Our starter was a vibrant roasted red pepper and feta salad. It had a delicious, slightly sweet dressing and I loved it. Everyone around the table also seemed to have enjoyed it as much as me because all of our plates were wiped clean.22544308656_23834fd770_o

Tom actually used to work behind the bar in a previous job, so he whipped up a few cocktails which all the bloggers thoroughly enjoyed. There was also wine paired with the meal, which one of their friend’s had kindly suggested, who also happens to be the Wine Manager for the Hawksmoor, so he obviously knew his stuff.22570294905_ac29d2b96b_o


I went for the vegetarian option which was Artichoke & Barley with Tuscan Kale, which was nice, but as I mentioned on the night, I would’ve prefered a warm meal for dinner. But this was a great way for them to test out different options and get feedback on what works well and what could be improved.22383467709_f4e59f7cd2_o

The others went for the meaty option, which I have to admit, looked really good! An Oxtail and Barley Stew with Creamy Horseradish and Carrots. Everyone complimented how tender the meat was and how generous the portion was.22383467619_c608a45279_o


To finish, we had a Chocolate and Hazelnut Tart, which was served with cream and was the perfect way to end the meal. 

Currently, Feast Happy are only doing main meals, but they will be looking into expanding into other courses soon as well as working with more partners, so there’s definitely no complaints from me on that front.21947558614_8c32c9aac8_o

I was honoured to be a part of the first Feast Happy dinner party. The food was delicious, the company was wonderful and we all had a great time. Here’s hoping there are more to come!

And a final thank you to Feast Happy’s friends over at My Chocolate, who provided us with goodie bags to take home, which was full of interesting and different flavoured chocolate.
